SINISTER MOUSTACHE:
SONGS FROM THE SUPER-SARGASSO SEA
The Super-Sargasso Sea is the dimension into
which lost things go, whose existence was
proposed by Charles Hoy Fort, writer and
researcher into anomalous phenomena. It may
be thought of as the spontaneous, anomalous
teleportation of an object into another
dimension. Fort did not actually believe
that it existed but, in the vein of the
ancient Greek skeptics, he wished only to
present a theory that was just as plausible
as those in the mainstream. The name alludes
to the Sargasso Sea of the Atlantic Ocean,
which lies next to the Bermuda Triangle.
This album is indeed a plausible alternative
to the mainstream as well as, in some songs,
an alternative to theoretical logistics.

Ladies
and gentlemen, thank you for your patience. The
upcoming (so far untitled) full length Sinister
Moustache record is in the can. There is still no
slated release date, but most of the hard work is
done. Album art direction is being headed up by
Stache guitar player, Steve. Artwork has been
submitted by several artists. We would like to take
this opportunity to thank those involved, namely,
Angel Agosto, Mike Hutchinson (Snake Oil Salesman),
and David Williams (I am not a little bus). Check
this site for updates on release details and album
pre-order information.
April 2007
April
has proved to be a very productive time for the
Stache. In the midst of finishing post-production
for the new record, they have also been writing new
material and preparing for an all new stage show to
include the aforementioned new material as well as
various cover songs. They are very much looking
forward to both the release of the upcoming record
and their next live performance. Also, Sinister
Moustache is looking for assistance in choosing a
title for their upcoming album. If you have any
suggestions, please email them to
steve@sofro.com
along with your name and mailing address. If your
title is chosen, you will receive one of our very
stylish Sofro T-shirts featuring the keyboardist
from Sinister Moustache, Pat Minotaur. Hell, we
might even give some away for just participating.
You never know unless you try.
NOTE:
T-shirts are only available in Large and X-Large.
March 2007
The
Stache spent this past weekend in Columbia, SC at
The Jam Room studio tracking for the new record.
This full length album will be roughly 40 minutes
and features 10 songs from the vast Sinister
Moustache repertoire. There is still much
post-production to be done before official release.
Song samples from the record as well as news
relating to it's release will be posted here and on
our drunken uncle site,
www.sofro.com.
Please
check back for updates!

September 2006
Sinister
Moustache will be playing at the Guitar Bar on MLK
Blvd. in downtown Savannah on September 23rd. The
venue is small but a very intimate setting for an
instrumental arrangement.
August 2006
Sinister
Moustache has begun tweaking the material for their
forthcoming full length album. The working title is
"Serenity Now" and will feature 10 to 12 songs from the
final days of Gravy as well as some new material written
with the new line-up. We are currently shopping around for a
recording facility that suits our needs, but the project has
been approved by all parties and will definitely be under
way very soon. Below are the tracks that are in the running
for the upcoming release. This list is not set in stone and will definitely change as the production process plays out.
